Starting with the series, you’ll notice that Neousys skips over even numbers.
That’s not entirely true; there are even-series, but those are much less common and we’ll expand on that in a future article.

When you look at the Nuvo-9000 as an example, you’ll see various product numbers associated with it like: Nuvo-9000E, Nuvo-9000LP, Nuvo-9006E, Nuvo-9002-DE, Nuvo-9006PoE, and so on…
So, what does it all mean?
NUVO-9006LP
The first digit is the Nuvo’s Series
NUVO-9006LP
The last digit is its Ethernet Ports
NUVO-9006LP
The lettered suffix is the embedded computer’s Model
Expanding on the Nuvo’s Ethernet Ports
In the last digit of the model number, we can see the number of ethernet ports included on the embedded computer.
You’ll see a 2 for 2 ethernet ports, a 6 for 6 ethernet ports, or you’ll see 6 + PoE for 2x ethernet ports and 4x PoE.
Nuvo Computer Expansion Slots
Now that you have deciphered the Neousys Nuvo Series, the details within those series, and its number of ethernet ports, finally you can look for any lettered suffixes at the end of their name.
